Australian Employers Network on Disability

The Australian Employers' Network on Disability held its first event in Perth on 21st October 2009 - a cocktail function generously hosted by KPMG.

Julie Donnellan, a Partner and representative on the National Diversity Advisory Board at KMG gave a warm welcome and discussed some of KPMG’s initiatives in the disability space to date, and Dr Ron Chalmers, Director General of the WA Disability Services Commission, discussed the activities of the Commission, in particular the “Count Us In” awards and awareness campaign.

Suzanne Colbert wrapped up the speeches for the evening with a call to action for the WA business community to become disability confident and enhance the inclusion of people with disability within their organisations.
