Reasonable Adjustment Special Interest Group Melbourne

An opportunity for Human Resource professionals to develop their Disability Confidence

We are pleased  to launch our very popular "Reasonable Adjustment Special Interest Group", in Melbourne this February.  These groups are designed to assist employers to develop reasonable adjustment policies and procedures, and are open to all interested organisations, at no charge.  Meeting bi-monthly, the special interest groups provide an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, and determine best practice.

Developing effective systems to implement reasonable adjustments is a key way  for organisations to build  ‘disability confidence’, enabling them to recruit from the entire talent pool and meet the needs of customers with disability.

Reasonable Adjustment is one of the key defences under the Disability Discrimination Act (1992), and understanding organisational responsibilities to existing employees as well as candidates with disability is a human resource essential.

With one in five Australians experiencing some type of disability, being able to proactively, effectively and confidently include this segment of the community achieves tangible business benefits as well as providing people with disability the opportunity to participate fully in our society.
