ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND APPLICATION INFORMATION- Applicants must have a disability. As this is a targeted program specifically for students with disability, applicants are required to provide any relevant disability information and any information regarding adjustments or modifications that may be required for the duration of the program;
- Applicants must be enrolled in the 4th or 5th year of a law degree (or 2nd or 3rd year of a graduate law degree) at a recognised tertiary institution;
- Applicants must not be on a leave of absence from their studies (eg. deferred, working full time, etc);
- Applicants must be committed and prepared to participate fully in the program and be available to attend a student briefing conducted by the Australian Employers’ Network on Disability before starting the program.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Applications must be received by the Australian Employers Network on Disability, no later than 5.00pm Friday 22nd May 2009;
- Applicants must specify the program they are applying for, their preferred location, as well as any preference for a specific organisation, on the application form;
- The program will commence in June/July for completion in August. (These dates are flexible at this stage to fit in with the university break);
- The Australian Employers Network on Disability will review the applications to ensure each one meets the eligibility criteria set out above;
- Each participating organisation will assess candidates against that organisation’s individual criteria to select candidates for interview;
- Participating organisations will be responsible for notifying successful and unsuccessful candidates for interview and for offers of a placement;
- Each participating organisation is responsible for implementing its work experience program with the assistance of the Australian Employers’ Network on Disability.
GENERAL INFORMATIONApplicants are strongly encouraged to provide feedback on all aspects of this program, including the application and interview process and the work experience program.
